For Illustration Friday.

This was in last year’s Somerset Studio Gallery Edition. I did it for the Red issue, but they put submission where they work best. She is sort of a collage except that I made all the elements except the blue background which is scrapbooking paper. I wasn’t sure if Somerset Studio would want this one, since it’s not quite their style, but they have been broadening their horizons for the past year or two.

I have begun to feel like Austin is home. I finally visited a roller skating rink last week. Only fell once, but I felt the bruise for a week. I was pretty good when I was 12, but that was long ago. :)

I am currently working on the City and Guilds Patchwork and Quilting Level 3 certification class (7922-03) through Linda Kemshall’s program online. I’m really enjoying it so far. Marie Roper is my tutor and she’s done some great work. I don’t start sewing til the next Module. The first one is all design and color theory, which I know pretty well. You can always learn more though and I think it’s pretty obvious that color is my favorite subject.
